The housing is integral part of the overall technical concept. It is responsible for the cooling (the power-amplifier 710 has an idle consumption of 200 W to be dissipated via the surface), the reduction of microphonic influences and the protection against electromagnetic fields from the ambient. Apart from that, the weight of up to 100 kg asks for a mechanically stable construction.

Due to their dimensions, it is unpractical to conceal the amplifiers in a living environment - as often done- but they should fit into their surroundings. This led to the additional requirements: no cooling fins, no visible screw connections. Apart from that, the overall amplifier should be integrated into the design - not only the front panel.

The design shall underline the high fidelity credo - do not add anything nonessential, do not omit anything essential.

Thanks to the consistent realisation by the designstudio greutmann bolzern the soulution amplifiers did already win the international red dot design award 2006 and have been nominated for the exclusive german design price 2007 .
